New survey results from GimmeAnother’s online shopping data series indicate that nearly half of respondents would love to use a one-click re-ordering option on their iPhones to send their mothers a favorite flower arrangement.
“It’s theoretically impossible to thank my mother for everything she’s done for me, and I often feel a little guilty for not expressing my gratitude more often,” said Kevin Cullum, GimmeAnother’s operations manager. “Here’s the thing. It’s a drag to call up a flower shop and deal with all the logistics. If I had an app to take care of all the details, you bet I’d send her more flowers than she’d ever know what to do with.”

GimmeAnother has been conducting a series of surveys about online shopping habits. The latest survey results showed that 40% of respondents ages 18 to 34 answered “yes” to the question, “If you could re-order a unique arrangement of flowers with a re-order button on your iPhone, would you?” And 57% of respondents ages 35 to 44 answered “yes” to the same question.
What does the percentage increase in the older age group indicate? “I guess as we mature and become parents ourselves,” said Andrew Figgins, GimmeAnother’s chief technology officer, “we realize just how much our moms have done for us. My iPhone is always on me. With GimmeAnother, all I have to do is press a button and show her that I care.”
